During Jan month, 2021 - after having left the high paying software engineering job, I was clueless about what’s going to be the next endeavour.
Slowly material things started fading away. Attended many online meditation classes, satsanghs, visited many retreats where strict noble silence (not even eye contact with fellow meditators) needs to be observed. Having lived in my own cocoon for 1 year and 8 months like this, mostly spent in meditation, contemplating and observing mouna with minimal food. Maintained the bare minimal talk to the point and didn’t hold the conversation more than 2/3 min mostly.
It gave a lot of clarity. The mind was settling down and getting to know what it really wanted, what it was avoiding.
Suddenly out of nowhere, Sai Baba’s message would pop-up on YouTube. Sometimes, I clicked and sometimes I didn’t. Whenever I clicked, the message was aptly timed. Either it would give instructions for something that happened recently or that’s going to happen in the next few days.
Out of the blue, I called one of my old friends. She was deeply pained with some happenings in life. Somehow, I called. We connected. During general discussions, a talk about Sai Baba peeped in the conversation. She said that she’s a Sai Baba devotee. She reads Sai Satcharitra like parayan for a week and asks advice from Sai Baba for taking complex decisions through chits. Mentioned Dassara is Sai Baba samadhi day. Advised me to connect with Baba on this day through Sadhana and vanished.
Dassara Sadhana at Sai Temple
Dassara day came. Having searched the available nearby Sai temples, I visited one on Dassara day. Having not been much into pooja, more aligned towards Sadhana of meditation, I meditated there in the temple infront of yagkund for more than 3 hours. Time passed like minutes and was graced with absolute bliss and peace.
Then, slowly joined the Mahaparayan group and started doing Sai Satcharita parayan every Thursday. It gave a lot of shanti to mind and calmed me.
One fine day, a satsangh talk of Sai Baba was shown on YouTube. This is about Puttaparthi Sai Baba. Having watched it, I slept that day. Got a message while sleeping that I have to go to Puttaparthi. Suddenly half-awake, I slightly opened my eyes to see the time. It was 12.43 AM, midnight. Going into the IRCTC app, I booked the ticket to Puttaparthi the same weekend but it was waitlisted. Just two days before the trip, again I was getting the message to book another ticket from Yeshwantpur station instead of SBC, while contemplating.
I did the same, the ticket got confirmed and travelled with the same.
Waited to see whether the ticket from SBC would get confirmed, to my surprise it wasn’t. So, automatically the money got refunded.
